Head Check # 7 – Dora y Diego

“NOT TODAY, Satan!”

I’m still NOT ready to write about this MOST AWESOME pillar of humanity yet, save to say, without Ali Preciado in my life and those of everyone in my family; Kaliks, Kimberly, and especially Michele’s lives Da Ronas and the future of what and how we live would be forever lacking many things.

Compassion.

Giving beyond reason.

Attempts at accommodating others to the point of losing oneself.

At heart, a huge HEART that is always working to help others.

I was not only able to introduce her to Willie K, just months before his passing – Feb. 2, 2020, for nearly 2 hours of LIVE music, she introduced me to hikes, points of diving at Dragon’s Tail, in Kapalua, [AND, according to her, SHE DOESN’T EVEN SWIM], but we also had “dueling” Hot Sauces; and NO ONE could compete with her cooking.

We read books recommended by one another, she was my Key Script and DP for short Ronas videos on good mental, physical, emotional health as well as other educational videos for the default, “Of Mice in Men” since doing a play, “The Crucible” was unwise without formal classes – for my 120 students those last 70 days of 2020 school year, and challenge buddy for snorkeling, walking and otherwise staying physically active. Rockin out to her tunes on the way to beaches, sometimes three in one day, or talking psychology, philosophies and human nature, never a dull day.

She’s definitely the most “Can DO!” person I’ve ever met.

Congratulations on the birth of Milo Cash Mohan!!!! I’m sure he’ll carry on many of your most special traits of sharing and learning from you two.
