Our last night was Thursday, July 24. They are never too far away. Tan writes Michelle and has been checking in with this blog. Michelle spent most of Wednesday, after the orphanage and buying books for Thau (who was still in the hospital fighting Malaria), getting enough copies of the group pix for these guys.
It’s never easy being the “new kid on the block,” and there were four or five new arrivals during our two weeks at Thien Mu Pagoda. In time they will have their heads shaved and be given robes. Until then, they’ll learn and make more friends, like these three.
Using the maps to help kids better understand where people are from and repond accordingly.
