Here I am, finally completing a 3-hour hike in my own unique way.
It took me three days!
And I lived AND loved nearly EVERY minute of it.

Yet, you ALL spend that extra hour every single day WAITING at the top. Another 20 minutes waiting at the bottom, waiting for “quick bathroom”, “hot chocolate”, Hokkaido Whiskey breaks.
Sure, y’all had tons of laughs and shiiiits, at least the moments you actually remember.
Yet, you’ve spent so much time, energy and money…NOT doing.
Was it worth it?
Definitely.

If I’d have WAITED to go to Europe or Vietnam or Thailand when friends when they were FINALLY ready…and willing, I’d STILL be in Rhode Island.
Fuck waiting for others.

You can enter with a Driver’s License!!
Hell, you can practice your French, Spanish, Patios and learn how First Nation Peoples of Alaska and Nova Scotia hunt, finish and farm. You can volunteer or jump into the Pacific after having the most delicious fish tacos with homemade pico picante y papas rellenos!
In Europe it’s as easy as jumping a train, which happens to be my absolute favorite way to travel. Maybe not yours, but not as many asking for passports and fewer hassles. Time to take those scenic shots in between shots in the Food Cars or with smaller groups of suddenly-made life-long friends in your compartment.
Stop making excuses.
